Our client is a leading global provider of healthcare solutions for a niche market with the medical field. They are well established with over 60 years in business they are currently going from strength to strength.

We are looking for a junior Project Manager to join a growing development team to help co-ordinate projects on minor projects whilst still working in a hands on role. This role will involve working closely with the Development Team.

Main Duties:

  • Assist with planning the project or manage an inherited project plan to accomplish its goal or produce the products required within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Work with Development Engineers to ensure clear direction is given and task allocation is understood and delivered
  • Manage third party / sub-contract relationships in relation to project tasks and deliverables
  • Create and use appropriate project management tools to manage resources and tasks (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, spreadsheets etc)
  • Understand relevant methodologies, processes and standards and ensure that all project team members understand and follow these
  • Provide ongoing technical support for existing products as required
  • Undertake engineering design when required – either on individual or team basis working with other resources internally and externally
  • Ensure that all development work is carried out according to the Company’s Change note and Quality Systems. Advise appropriate staff in these areas of potential issues in a timely fashion
  • Identify training needs and appropriate ways to satisfy these to ensure knowledge is kept up to date and in touch with the marketplace 


Qualification & Experience

  • Over 3 years’ experience working within development engineering
  • Over 1 years’ experience working within medical device development
  • Degree in engineering (software or electronics preferred)
  • Confident working hands on in a product engineering environment whilst also taking on project responsibilities
  • Confident working closely with Software, Electronics and Mechanical Engineers to help develop and handle technical issues alongside managing project milestones
