Our client is a leading global provider of healthcare solutions for a niche market with the medical field. They are well established with over 60 years in business they are currently going from strength to strength.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing development team to help oversee all aspects of projects using planning, monitoring and controlling processes on major product projects.

Main Duties:

  • Plan the project or manage an inherited project plan to accomplish its goals or produce the products required within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Be mindful of and assist in maintaining the project budget
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Undertake project risk analysis and build contingency into project plan
  • Take lead in written and oral communication in relation to project progress
  • Manage third party / sub-contractor relationships in relation to project tasks and deliverables
  • Create and use appropriate project management tools to manage resources and tasks (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts spreadsheets, etc)
  • Provide direction and motivation to project team
  • Generate documentation including requirement specifications, contracts, schedules, project report, communication records and design specifications
  • Provide ongoing technical support for existing products as required with emphasis on electronics e.g. flow sensors, power supplies, monitoring
  • Ensure that all development work is carried out according to the Company’s Change Note and Quality Systems
  • Identify training needs and appropriate ways to satisfy these to ensure knowledge is kept up to date and in touch with the marketplace


Qualification & Experience

  • Over 5 years’ experience working within Project Management, taking products and projects from concept to delivery
  • Over 3 years’ experience working within medical device development
  • Engineering knowledge, ideally with a degree in engineering (software or electronics preferred)
  • Confident working closely with Software, Electronics and Mechanical Engineers to help develop and handle technical issues alongside managing project milestones
