QA Officer –North Wales
Pharmaceuticals – Competitive salary

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a long established yet family owned pharmaceutical company at their site in beautiful North Wales. Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance across daily operations and services requiring QA involvement. This support will extend to production, warehousing and quality control departments while ensuring that GMP is fully compliant with all guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Review manufacturing batch records production documents to ensure all tasks are in keeping with GMP
  • Ensure timely resolution of change controls and deviations
  • Monitor and inspect production floor regularly
  • Carry out internal audits of production and warehouse departments according to the audit schedule to ensure adherence to GxP
  • Ensure good quality culture is maintained especially within production department
  • Guide and train new joiners where appropriate
  • Ensure SOP’s are kept up to date within both manual and electronic QMS systems

Skills and experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience within a similar QA role either in food/pharma or healthcare
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of GMP and GLP
  • Good knowledge of Quality Control Laboratory techniques
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing batch manufacturing records
  • Good all round QMS experience
