Continuous Improvement (CI) Project Lead

I am keen to speak with experienced Continuous Improvement professionals who are looking to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business in Crawley.

You will be responsible for identifying, managing and facilitating all Lean and Continuous Improvement activities on site. This will be company wide looking at the commercial departments but primarily focused on the operations/manufacturing departments.

Requirements of the role will lead you to working with a variety of people across the business where you will use your strong leadership and engagement skills to ensure you deliver performance improvement and/or cost and time savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and promote the development of enhanced quality standards
  • Identify and promote service improvements through using process improvement methodologies
  • Develop and deliver standardisation across the business to drive performance improvements
  • Deliver process change directly through various means including training, workshops, workflow analysis and document analysis
  • Along with other key stakeholders within the business, develop new support material on revised processes
  • Complete post delivery analysis to quantify impact of changes and improvements
  • To manage and monitor project risks to identify potential future problems and be proactive to identify and implement solutions to address these problems
  • Take ownership of setting up programs of improvements business wide
  • Be involved in short, medium and long term strategic planning to ensure best practice is implemented from project inceptions.
  • Always consider Health & Safety with all decision making.

Person Specification:

  • The successful candidate will have a strong background of effective delivery within a fast paced manufacturing environment (Over 1,000 units per day)
  • You must have proven experience of being able to deliver continuous improvement and of analytical experience. These will be competency checked.
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ideally you will have a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation
