Harris Lord Recruitment retains Investor in People Standard for the 3rd time
Harris Lord Recruitment was first recognised as an Investor in People in December 2000. Its most recent review took place on 15th November 2007.
The review confirmed that the directors remain committed to the open engagement of their team in the development of the business. People like to work for Harris Lord Recruitment because the company is committed to providing an excellent service to its clients and because they recognise that the directors want them to be able to grow with the business.
Outstanding areas of achievement are values and ethics, the fact that everyone had a very clear appreciation of where the business is heading, the format for performance reviews and that directors are focussed more on service and individual activity than the end result.
Paul Cook IIP assessor found more particularly that Harris Lord Recruitment is built on a strong ethical foundation. “The team really appreciates the values of honesty, integrity and respect that underpin its dealings with clients, candidates and staff.” Paul said in his report, “A number of staff stated that this was one of the key reasons they joined the company."
Paul also found that Directors and staff appreciate that financial success is achieved as a consequence of effective internal policies and procedures; strong relationships with clients and delivery of high service standards, they therefore focus on development of these inputs
Staff were found to have a very clear appreciation of where the business is heading because they have been very much involved in agreeing how their division will contribute to overall business performance.
Individual, team and organisational objectives are clearly measurable and processes have been put in place, which give people timely and objective feedback on their performance.
Paul went on to explain in the report that the company is very open to making use of the knowledge and skills of its staff. He was impressed with the fact that people are encouraged to share learning and to deliver training sessions in areas of particular expertise
Justine and Tracey Harris were thrilled to retain their status as Investors in People, “Our staff are our greatest asset, it is important that we look after them to the best of our ability, we have a duty of care and want to treat people how we would want to be treated as well as ensuring their personal and professional development.
