Manufacturing Manager

The Client

Our client is a Medical Device manufacturer that has been established for over 60 years. They now employ over 2500 team members and their products are available in over 80 countries and they’re still growing, especially in Europe. They are now looking to establish a new division that will enable them to sell their products directly to the UK & Ireland market, as opposed to using 3rd party suppliers.


The Role

Due to their commitment to Europe, they are now looking for a Manufacturing Manger to build their new site & team near Dublin Airport. Some of your duties and responsibilities will include: -

  • Develop, evaluate and assist the direction of improving processes for all production activities including evaluation, creation and revision of systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and implementing change.
  • Oversee the manufacturing standard operating procedures, process flow, work instructions implementations.
  • Implement initiatives to achieve team targets related to Quality, Cost and Delivery.
  • Analyse manufacturing process and implement measures to utilize fully the resources of machines and manpower.
  • Manage on-going cost reduction and continuous improvement programs to reduce manufacturing expenses and labour cost.
  • Prepare the budget allocation/requirements of the team.
  • Maximizes all resources with respect to 4M; Man, Machine, Material and Method.
  • Ensure to achieve production target and to delivery on time.
  • Monitor direct and indirect material inventory with using SAP system.
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards, and implement quality control programs.
  • Recommends hiring, promotion, transfer and other necessary movement of personnel.
  • Ensure to provide proper training in compliance with the all company rules and standards to all employees.
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions to verify compliance and to ensure conformance.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS and GMP to assure shipping of exclusively high quality products.
  • Assist in the investigation of non-conformance and quality issues and cooperate in the formulation of correction and improvement actions.
  • Collect and analyse data and production reports for factory managers
  • Ensure that basic building facilities, production and measuring equipment are well-maintained and conducts preventive maintenance
  • Facilitate improvement changes and see to it that proper evaluation and risks were considered.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior.





The Ideal Candidate

It is likely the successful candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields preferably in Chemical Engineering.
  • 2+ years supervisory or management experience (this is a great opportunity for those looking to further their careers!)
  • 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing specializing production planning and engineering in a medical device company or applicable industry.
  • Able to plan, lead, organise and mentor a team.
  • Excellent decision making skills, strong leadership and communication proficiency
