The position

This position will play a key role of the day to day technical functions related to manufacturing, research and process development.

You will be heavily involved in all areas of research and development including implementation of ideas into practice.

Technically you will be utilising your previous experience in applied microbial fermentation to address a range of commercial challenges, through using both microbiological, molecular and bioinformatics approaches.

Experience

• Strong experience of key microbial metabolic processes / microbial fermentation
• Ideally experience in handling and processing genomic data / bioinformatics
• Any molecular experience would be beneficial
• Relevant PhD or MSc with some project experience in this time OR a BSc (or equivalent) along with relevant industry experience
• Ability to work independently
• Creative approach to science with the ability to apply practicalities within a commercial setting
• Experience in mentoring / coaching would be beneficial
