Funeral Arranger

Full-time | £34,580pa | 35 hours per week | Flexible but based in Crawley and you must be able to travel to nearby branches

No previous funeral experience required – if you are process-driven and customer-focused, full training will be provided.

We’re looking for a compassionate and highly organised Funeral Arranger. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service and administrative skills who is confident following detailed processes and supporting clients with care.

Role Overview
As a Funeral Arranger, you will guide families through important arrangements with professionalism and empathy. You’ll handle sensitive conversations, complete detailed paperwork accurately, and coordinate services to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service in person, by phone, and via email
  • Accurately manage client records and documentation
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners
  • Maintain a professional and respectful approach at all times
  • Be prepared to work in an environment with deceased people

Hours & Flexibility

  • 35 hours per week, usually over five days (8–4, 9–5, or 10–6, may vary)
  • Occasional Saturdays required, with time off in lieu during the week (notice given 4 weeks in advance)
  • Initial training (approx. 6 weeks) based in Horsham, Mon–Fri 8.30–4.30

Travel Requirements

  • Own transport essential for travel between branches
  • Mileage covered between your base branch (likely Horsham or Crawley) and other branches, and from home to other branches

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent customer service and phone manner
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Highly numerate and literate
  • Flexible, organised, and reliable
  • Professional and well-presented
  • Confident working independently
  • Comfortable working in an environment where there are deceased people
  • Previous financial services experience helpful but not essential
