We’re excited to be partnering with a long-established stockist and distributor of electronic components who, due to recent business growth, are looking to recruit a Stores & Operations Assistant. The Role

As a Stores & Operations Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Operations team. Your responsibilities will cover goods receiving, bonded stores management, stock maintenance, and despatch. Forklift truck operation and stock control will be central to the role, alongside supporting colleagues across the department when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and log deliveries on the MRP system.
• Generate and maintain batch labels and records.
• Operate the forklift truck to store and move palletised stock.
• Maintain accurate stock control and carry out stock checks.
• Re-organise stock locations for efficiency.
• Use barcode scanning for product put-away.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Provide forklift cover and support with cable respooling.
• Collect off-site stock using the company van.
• Maintain work areas in line with 5S standards.
• Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid forklift truck licence and clean driving licence (essential).
• Strong attention to detail with a tidy, methodical approach.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
• Experience with inventory management systems (IQ MRP desirable).
